UGM Business Manager
About the role
We’re seeking a Business Manager to join the Unified Global Markets (UGM) COO team, supporting senior leadership across Sales and Trading to deliver strategic initiatives that enhance business performance and client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Work side-by-side with front-office team members to streamline processes, scale the platform, and drive commercial momentum across asset classes.
- Act as a trusted partner to senior business heads – connecting strategic objectives with day-to-day execution, and helping shape how UGM grows and competes across the Americas.
- Identify and drive front-to-back process improvements to enhance productivity, client responsiveness, and execution quality.
- Support commercial initiatives to optimize the client experience, improve sales coverage models, and unlock new revenue opportunities.
- Deliver data-driven insights to help leadership measure performance and make informed decisions.
- Anticipate business needs and proactively design solutions that improve speed to-market, platform scalability, and front-office efficiency.
- Maintain awareness of operational and regulatory frameworks, ensuring strategic execution remains sound and sustainable.
Requirements
5+ years’ experience in a markets, COO, or strategy role supporting front-office businesses within a global bank or financial institution.
Understanding of global markets products (fixed income, equities, structured derivatives, etc.).
Proven ability to operate effectively in a high-intensity, front-office environment and manage multiple priorities.
Analytical and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with tools like Power BI or Alteryx (a plus).
Communication and relationship-building skills; confidence engaging with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
A proactive, “solutions-oriented” mindset with a focus on execution, scalability, and continuous improvement.
Experience with Microsoft Project, Teams and SharePoint.
Business Intelligence, ERP, and/or Data Warehousing experience (Power Automate or alternative no-code development software, Data Sourcing/ETL Mapping, Power BI) (a plus).

Benefits
The indicative gross base salary range as a full-time equivalent role: United States - New York - New York min USD 155000 - max USD 190000 /annum.
The expected salary for this role will be determined by relevant factors which may include but are not limited to, role-required experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level.
