About the Role

The UGE Laborer/Groundman supports the Construction team by preparing and cleaning construction sites, loading and unloading building materials, operating equipment, and assisting craft workers with their duties.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare the construction site for work, removing debris and possible hazards.
• Assist tradesmen in completing their skilled tasks more effectively.
• Identify utilities and monitor dig crews to prevent utility hits.
• Clean up and maintain equipment.
• Restock trucks with supplies to ensure crews have the proper tools and materials to complete the job.

Requirements

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience.
• CDL Class A driver’s license.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role operates in a field environment and routinely requires:

• Extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, and twisting.
• Working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Clarity of vision at varying distances, precise hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors.
