UAS Operator Multi Levels

About the role

Insitu is anticipating the need for UAS Operators at a Level 1 / Level 2 / Level 3 / Level 4 in the 3rd Quarter 2026, this opening is dependent on contract award.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain unmanned aircraft systems in compliance with checklists and safety protocols.
• Conducts preflight planning to include mission briefings weather forecasts, Notice to Airmen (NOTAMs), Special Instructions (SPINs) and airspace requirements.
• Evaluates customer's mission requirements and determines operational needs.
• Collect and analyze data obtained from flights; complete post-mission reports/logs.
• Collaborate with team members and customers to plan and execute UAS mission.
• Performs UAS and ground support equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Coincides with Company subject matter experts to resolve issues beyond the scope of field maintenance capability, as needed.
• Conducts inventory of UAS spares/components and reports cycle counts.

Requirements

• UAS Operator Level 1 requirements: Associates Degree in the Aviation Field; Military Aviation Experience; Currently has an active Secret clearance.
• UAS Operator Level 2 requirements: Associates Degree in the Aviation Field; Military Aviation Experience; or 1+ years of UAS Operator experience; Currently has an active Secret clearance.
• UAS Operator Level 3 requirements: Associates Degree in the Aviation Field; Military Aviation Experience; or 3+ years of UAS Operator experience; Currently has an active Secret clearance.
• UAS Operator Level 4 requirements: Associates Degree in the Aviation Field; Military Aviation Experience; or 6+ years of UAS Operator experience; Currently has an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Preferred Education & Experience:

• A working expertise with Insitu tracking programs and library documentation is preferred.
• FAA certifications (Pilot or A&P), deployed time or production experience are preferred but not required.
