UABOS Spain: Firefighter/Driver

Responsibilities

• Responding to fire incidents promptly and efficiently.
• Driving emergency vehicles with strategic route planning.
• Operating a variety of specialized equipment, including pumps and foam generators.
• Utilizing advanced protective gear in hazardous situations.
• Performing daily preventive maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and equipment checks.
• Ensuring all equipment is consistently maintained in optimal working conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• US Citizenship
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of fire suppression, rescue and emergency incident techniques, operation of fire equipment, water distribution and supply requirements.
• Working knowledge of the characteristics of aircraft fuel propellants, oxidizers and weapons.
• Meet position certificates IAW DOD 6055.06 M.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years of firefighting experience in a structured fire protection role that delivers fire suppression services.
• At least 2 of the last 3 years should have been spent in an organization that provides aircraft crash, fire, and rescue services.
• Proven ability to understand and apply fire suppression, rescue, and emergency incident techniques, along with expertise in operating fire equipment and managing water distribution and supply needs.
