Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Associate to join our in-house global tax team. This position will support federal and state income tax compliance, with a specialized focus on Form 1065, U.S. Return of Partnership Income. In this position, you will also gain exposure to complex investment fund structures, capital allocations, and transaction modeling.
Primary Responsibilities
- Management company Form 1065 preparation support, including assistance with state tax filings
- Partner capital account maintenance and basis calculations support
- Calculation of management company quarterly taxable income estimates and tax distributions support
- Federal and state tax law research
- Quarterly ASC740 reporting for fund structures
- Collection and reconciliation of portfolio companies Schedules K-1
- Tax notice support for the management company and funds
- FATCA/CRS reporting and related tax operations support for funds
- Use tax and property tax filings for the management company
- Partner effectively with external and internal auditors, Accounting, Treasury, Product Management, Legal, FP&A, and other teams across the enterprise
- Identify, recommend, and implement opportunities to improve, automate, and streamline tax processes, including leveraging AI-enabled tools and technologies where appropriate
Qualifications
- CPA (or CPA candidate) with at least 2+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or financial services
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline is required; a Master’s degree in Accounting and/or previous experience in public accounting strongly preferred
- Excellent accounting and analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate across teams on complex projects
- Experience with CorpTax preferred
