About the role
We are seeking experienced U.S. Tax Professionals to help train next-generation AI systems. You will interpret U.S. sales and use tax statutes and regulations, break legal requirements into precise evaluation criteria, and assess AI-generated tax content for accuracy. No prior AI experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Interpret U.S. sales and use tax statutes and regulations across multiple states.
- Break tax provisions into clear, testable requirements and evaluation rubrics.
- Assess AI-generated tax interpretations for accurate conditions, thresholds, exceptions, and legal logic.
- Create test scenarios and edge cases with clear facts, dates, amounts, and expected outcomes.
- Identify statutory discrepancies, exceptions, ambiguities, and missing requirements.
- Provide structured written feedback through digital review platforms.

Qualifications
- Active CPA license, CA designation, or U.S. tax attorney experience.
- Experience interpreting tax statutes and regulations rather than only preparing returns.
- Strong understanding of state and local taxation.
- Ability to analyze legal conditions, thresholds, exceptions, defined terms, and AND/OR logic.
- Experience across multiple U.S. state tax jurisdictions is a plus.
- Enrolled Agent or federal tax experience is preferred.
- Experience reviewing AI-generated or technology-driven tax content is a plus.
