U.S. Private Bank - Private Banker - Managing Director
About the role
We are seeking exceptionally talented individuals who are collaborative, confident, and motivated to provide a first-class experience to clients within J.P. Morgan's U.S. Private Bank. As a Private Banker, you will advise families on building, preserving, and managing their wealth using your expertise in investments, financial planning, credit, and banking.
You will be part of a local team supported by an institutional platform with resources, specialists, and intellectual capital to help clients achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain client relationships by earning trust, understanding client needs, providing targeted advice, and delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Generate business results and acquire new assets from both existing clients and new client acquisition.
- Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation, investment management, wealth planning, credit, and banking needs.
- Partner with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to clients when needed.
- Connect clients across all lines of business within J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
- Ensure proposed solutions fulfill clients' short, medium, and long-term needs through holistic, goals-based planning.
- Strictly adhere to all risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.
Requirements
- Six or more years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Series 7, 66, and Insurance licenses required; unlicensed candidates must obtain licenses within 90 days of start date.
- Proven sales success and strong business acumen.
- Strong community presence with an established network.
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit, and banking concepts.
- Client-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred.
- Proactive, takes initiative, and uses critical thinking to solve problems.
- Dynamic and credible professional with exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with a disciplined and structured approach to business.
- Experience with and in-depth knowledge of equity and fixed income markets and alternative investments, including Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Real Estate.
