About the Role

Our Internship Program is nationwide, spanning over 140 office locations across the country. Interns in National Risk Control can start their career with a comprehensive “learning by doing” experience that provides a realistic look at what it means to be a Gallagher Risk Control Consultant. You will have the opportunity to work in National Risk Control, within Gallagher Global Brokerage, in one of five areas:

  • Risk Control – Partner with clients to improve their safety, health, and environmental programs through field risk assessments, gap analyses, e-services, onsite training, auditing, risk improvement strategies, and property risk improvements.
  • Claims Advocacy – Work with clients and insurers to ensure claims are handled expeditiously and resolved favorably, while providing strategic services to manage total cost of risk.
  • Risk Solutions and Analytics – Evaluate risks associated with clients’ primary insurance programs using data-driven reports, actuarial and predictive analytics, and advise on optimal insurance program construction.
  • Operations – Support NRC functional leaders in process improvement, reporting, technology support, training, and communication as a liaison to key stakeholders.
  • Business Continuity – Help clients manage non-insured or uninsured losses through assessment, planning, testing, and crisis management, gaining exposure to resiliency program tools.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a weekly assignment checklist.
  • Shadow 2-3 Gallagher team members during the program.
  • Complete all weekly presentations and webinars.
  • Actively participate in meetings with executive leadership and practice area leaders.

Requirements

  • Sophomores and juniors with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
  • Availability to participate in the program from June 7, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and strong flexibility and adaptability.
  • Unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.

  • Preferred areas of study: Occupational Safety and Health, Public Health, Industrial Safety, Property/Industrial Engineering.
