About the Role

U.S. GRAPHITE is seeking a Materials Operator to join their team. The role involves operating and maintaining machinery to produce high-quality carbon and graphite materials for diverse industries such as Aerospace, Nuclear, Petrochemical, and industrial fluid handling.

Responsibilities

• Adjust machine components to regulate speeds, pressures, temperatures, and material flow according to quality processes and procedures.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and notify supervisors of issues.
• Review work orders and specifications to determine materials, procedures, and machine settings.
• Synchronize machine speeds for multi-step production processes.
• Clear jams and remove defective materials or products.
• Examine, measure, and weigh materials to ensure conformance to standards.
• Record and maintain production data, including meter readings and material quantities.
• Select and install machine components (e.g., dies, molds, cutters) using hand tools and measuring devices.
• Move materials and finished products between storage and work areas without causing damage.
• Clean dies, arbors, compression chambers, and molds.
• Complete shop routers and ensure products meet customer specifications.
• Disassemble equipment for repairs or part replacements.
• Remove materials from molds and machinery, storing them for additional processing.
• Pour, scoop, or dump ingredients into machines according to procedures.
• Measure dies to verify sizes and report discrepancies.
• Move products between work centers without causing damage.
• Complete required documentation, including reports and inspection reports.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
