Ability to meet production standards

Required Skills

• By hand, remove stem from tobacco leaf without leaving excessive pieces of tobacco on the stem.
• For wrappers, the stem must be removed and remaining tobacco leaves spread onto table.
• For filler, the stem must be removed, and then the leaves placed straight on table or in bin.
• Manually hand-twist tobacco leaves and fillers into the appropriate size, shape, and weight for the specified twist product.
• Ensure twists are uniform in size and weight and have good appearance and remove any non-tobacco related material (NTRM) identified.
• Meet minimum quality standards and production rates for twists produced or stems removed.
• Accurately follow work instructions and product specifications and maintain cleanliness of work station and other facility areas.
• Be aware of the Company environmental, health & safety policies and comply with the objectives as it relates to the role and follow Company Safety Rules.
• Know the potential health & safety risks and environmental impacts of work activities and understand role in mitigating these impacts.
• Understand responsibilities for compliance with regulatory requirements and Company standards.
• Complete EHS-required training and follow operational procedures and immediately report all injuries and illnesses.
• Participate in EHS programs as required by assigned site/role (e.g., PULSAR safety observation program, Safety Triggers).
