About the Role
The Twin Peaks Girl interacts with, entertains, and provides best-in-class service and hospitality to every guest. Additionally, Twin Peaks Girls sell food and beverages while embodying knowledge of sports, food, and beverages, maintaining a fun and energetic personality, and adhering to Twin Peaks Presentation Guidelines.
The Costume
The Twin Peaks Girl is a unique aspect of the Twin Peaks concept. Whenever working, compliance with the Twin Peaks Presentation Guidelines is mandatory. Occasionally, Twin Peaks promotes optional costume parties. Participation is voluntary, and employees may choose to wear the standard Twin Peaks Girl costume instead. If participating, the costume must comply with the provided guidelines for the event. Proprietary costumes or items issued by the company may never be worn outside the restaurant, including for recreational purposes or unauthorized photography.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Presentation Guidelines.
- Interact with and entertain guests.
- Promote events and specials to enhance goodwill and profitability.
- Provide best-in-class service and hospitality, including greeting guests, taking and delivering orders, suggestive selling, pre-bussing tables, and settling checks accurately.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- No prior experience or training required.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, including reading and understanding the menu, writing and ringing in tickets, and operating a computerized register system.
- Ability to suggestively sell menu items and entertain guests.
- Apply common sense and understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Handle standardized situations with minimal variables.
- Mathematically compute proper change and accurately settle checks.
- Attend orientation and agree to Twin Peaks policies and procedures.
- Successfully complete the Twin Peaks Girl training program prior to working unsupervised.
- Complete and maintain any required local or state certifications, such as food and alcohol service certifications.
Physical Demands
The role requires the following physical abilities:
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or carry objects, and talk or hear.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment
The work environment includes:
- Regular exposure to fumes or airborne particles from the kitchen.
- Occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (e.g., dish area or walk-in cooler).
- Potential exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals from cleaning products.
- A typically loud noise level.
- Possible exposure to cigarette or cigar smoke in locations with smoking sections.
Additional Notes
- Twin Peaks maintains policies restricting harassment, fraternization, and drug and alcohol abuse.
- The concept is based on an all-female serving staff, requiring adherence to Twin Peaks Girl Presentation Guidelines.
- Performance-Based Scheduling is used, including a ranking system to determine section assignments.
- Failure to adhere to job duties, including Presentation Guidelines, may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
