About the role
The University of Montana, a comprehensive two-year college, seeks qualified tutors for the Fall 2026 semester to assist students in math, chemistry, general biology, and human biology courses.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students with course work, study strategies, and course-related technology.
- Work both in person and online, typically 4-15 hours weekly in the Library Learning Hub between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and/or Wednesday evenings.
- Participate in several hours of paid training meetings each semester.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of relevant college coursework completed with a B or better grade.
- A letter of recommendation.
- The ability to mentor in an educational setting with a diverse student population.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States upon hire.
- Must be eligible for employment without sponsorship.
Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of tutoring techniques and resources.
Benefits
- Salary range: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour, depending upon education.
