About the role
Bright Futures Tutoring provides personalized, one-on-one and small-group academic support to students of all ages and skill levels. We're building a team of dedicated tutors who can connect with students, build confidence, and deliver real academic growth.
Who We're Looking For
- Certified/licensed teachers (current or retired)
- Graduate students in education, subject-specific fields, or related areas
- Undergraduate students with strong academic records and demonstrated subject mastery
- Professionals with relevant subject-matter expertise and a passion for teaching
Subject Areas
- Elementary reading & literacy
- Middle/high school math (Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calc, Calculus)
- Middle/high school science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
- Test prep (ACT/SAT)
- Other subjects as needed — let us know your strengths!
Requirements
- Prior tutoring, teaching, or classroom experience preferred
- Strong command of the subject(s) you'll be tutoring
- Excellent communication skills and patience working with students at different learning levels
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Comfortable working independently as a contractor
- Background check required
- Must sign Bright Futures Tutoring's Independent Contractor Agreement prior to starting
