About the role

As a Part-Time Tutor, you will play a key role in supporting the growth and development of our Education Department. This position is perfect for retired teachers, graduate students, or teachers seeking to supplement their income in a positive teaching environment.

Responsibilities

• Providing individual tutoring to pre-teens and teens in various subjects, including reading, writing, math, and study skills.
• Assisting with the creation and implementation of educational programs tailored to meet the needs of each child.
• Monitoring and assessing student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.

Requirements

• Must desire to work with middle and/or high school students in 1:1 tutoring.
• Must be okay with working 12 hours or less per week.
• Experience tutoring or teaching, preferably with children in a one-on-one or small group setting.
• Strong knowledge of middle and/or high school curricula.
• Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for working with adolescents and a commitment to their educational success.
