Tutor (APU 4-Nights)

Job Description

The Tutor role at Nemera is responsible for aiding new production employees and temporary workers in understanding their work positions and the environment. Key responsibilities include:

• Welcome new employees and introduce them to the production floor, colleagues, quality team, suppliers, etc.
• Manage Training Checklists and assign Training Buddies to new employees.
• Demonstrate and explain how to start-up, operate, and shut down machines, and handle equipment malfunctions and accidents.
• Introduce documentation and ensure it is properly followed and completed, including product quality, production of samples, visual checks, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Provide training on safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices, such as traceability, identification, batch name, preparation, and clearance.
• Avoid accidents by explaining risks and responding to safety concerns or incidents.
• Assess new employees at the end of their induction, provide feedback, and monitor them over time.
• Share best practices and challenges with other tutors, production supervisors, technical trainers, and human resources.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as an effective operator in Injection molding and/or assembly.
• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Completed specific training provided by the Quality and EHS departments.
• Extensive knowledge of safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Complete knowledge of quality procedures and documentation applicable to production work posts.
• Able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs., stand and walk 90% of shifts, and perform bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, grabbing, and climbing.

Work Environment

Works in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels.
