Turtle Care Assistant
Responsibilities
- Preparing and distributing diets
- Cleaning and preparing of animal enclosures
- Washing dishes
- Keeping work areas clean
- Basic turtle/tortoise husbandry (soaking, weighing, health assessments, etc.)
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma (or College coursework in related field preferred)
- An interest in reptiles and amphibians
- Previous experience caring for reptiles and amphibians preferred

The position offers a competitive hourly wage range of $18.00 per hour.

About the Role
The Turtle Care Assistant will assist keepers and WHC staff with the daily tasks associated with the care of confiscated turtles/tortoises housed at the Bronx Zoo.
