Turret Punch Operator II (Utility Operator)

Implement the Production Fulfillment Process steps related to the fabrication of parts according to work order and customer requirements. Ensures machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. Set-up and operate CNC controlled turret punch. Other duties also involve manual work and/or assembly duties that require the use of various hand tools, paint accessories, drills etc.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Amada Turret Punch:
- Operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
- Load, operate, and manufacture a variety of parts to make custom parts according to customer orders and instructions written on Work Orders and blueprints.
- Complete project work as needed involving the assembly of parts that require the use of hand tools, paint accessories and mechanical devices.
- Complete work order paperwork.
- Perform in-process inspection according to standard procedures.
- Maintain count and perform packaging duties as required.
- Participate in cross training activities to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.
- Perform routine daily machine maintenance including cleaning up and lubrication.
Requirements
- Perform work independently with minimal defects.
- Communicate with supervisor on work order priority.
- Very good math skills.
- Ability to understand drawing and blueprints.
- Ability to use basic measuring instruments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
A High School Diploma or GED with prior hands on, vocational or job-related course work/training, or any similar combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience in a manufacturing industry is preferred.

Pay
$27+ based on experience plus a 20% shift premium.
