About the Role
Set up and operate CNC Turret press, edit programs, maintain tooling, and assist in training operators. Produce high-quality parts efficiently while performing preventive maintenance on CNC machines. Demonstrate ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and reduce costs.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and apply information from Work Instruction File.
- Set up and operate CNC and computer equipment following machine setup sheets.
- Test and inspect equipment and product to blueprint specifications.
- Inspect product for compliance and sign off for first-piece approval.
- Complete documentation requirements.
- Follow policy procedures and prepare product for transfer to the next work cell.
- Shut down and store computer and equipment.
- Document and record all work done in the work cell.
- Perform preventive maintenance of CNC machines.
- Train others in the work cell to ensure timely and efficient production of quality parts.
- Ensure general maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Comply with ISO policies and procedures.
- Identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Occasional Duties
- Operate associated metal fabrication machinery: surface grinder, press brakes, surface graining, and edge deburring machines.
- Train others in similar roles once competency is demonstrated.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- One to three years of experience in metal fabrication.
Skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Team-oriented.

- Physical Demands: Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle objects/tools/controls, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to read print in various sizes and formats. May need to climb stairs. Must regularly pull/push up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work Environment: Performed in a production environment. Exposure to prevalent weather conditions (for Maintenance & Receiving only). Noise level is usually moderate to high in some areas.
Pay
Hourly position with a salary range of $40,000 to $50,000 USD annually. The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market/business considerations, and geographic location.
