- Design & quoting: Design and simulate turnkey solutions; ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements; conduct technical validation and drive internal go/no-go decisions.
- Deployment execution: Lead commissioning and rollouts at customer sites, from first install to stable production.
- Project management: Own the end-to-end project cycle, managing customer relationships, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to deliver successfully.
- Playbooks & standards: Build repeatable deployment processes, checklists, documentation, and training for internal and customer teams.
- Scale the function: Turn the playbook into a repeatable process and help grow a team as installs and revenue increase.
- Field feedback loop: Translate field learnings into product requirements and prioritization inputs.
- Faster design-to-quote and technical validation, with a robust process to select and validate the right projects.
- Efficiently managed projects with documentation and tools that accelerate deployments.
- Consistently successful FAT and SAT, leading to stable production go-lives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years as a field-based robotics or machine vision application engineer.
- Experience with robot programming (e.g., Universal Robots, FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, ABB).
- Experience with station simulation software (e.g., Process Simulate, RoboDK, RoboGuide, or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to travel within the US.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
- Experience in industrial automation, automotive manufacturing, computer vision, or related domains.
- PLC programming.
