Encore Boston Harbor is a luxury global destination gaming resort featuring 671 hotel rooms with panoramic views of the Boston skyline and Boston Harbor. It includes an ultra-premium spa, luxury retail, high-end dining, and state-of-the-art ballroom and meeting spaces. The property is the largest private single-phase development in the Commonwealth's history.
Responsibilities
- Clean assigned guest rooms and facility areas according to established quality standards and procedures.
- Refresh rooms in the early evening and prepare them for guests to sleep in.
- Remove used towels and replace them with clean ones.
- Restock amenities and wipe down any wet services in the bathroom.
- Fold any clothing left in the room and place it in the appropriate spot.
- Remove Room Service trays, dishes, and carts.
- Ensure all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied.
- Participate in short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate operational effectiveness; effect changes required for improvement.
- Identify key drivers of success; actively contribute to departmental performance; ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; record and report.
- Follow all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and property-wide controls within the department.
- Deliver and maintain a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction.
- Contribute to company-wide communication and best practices.
- Keep informed of all new developments within the department.
- Clean assigned guest rooms and suites to meet Encore standards, including removing soil, dirt, soap build-up, and hair from bathroom mirrors, vanity, sink, toilet, shower walls, bathtub, shower, curtain, and floor.
- Replace facial, toilet tissue, and bathroom amenities in the correct amount and location.
- Inspect bathrobes and replace soiled or damaged ones.
- Complete all assigned room cleaning credits.
- Report any maintenance deficiencies.
- Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned guest suite and secure it, always blocking the entrance to the suite.
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
- Maintain a safe and pristine work environment at all times.
- Direct guests' questions and complaints appropriately.
- Work with safety as a priority, following department and company safety standards.
- Maintain relevant knowledge of the industry through continuing education and training.
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Age, Gaming and Certifications
Must be 21 years of age or above and required to obtain and maintain registration or a license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
Education and/or Experience
High school degree or equivalent preferred. Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent attention to detail, are required. Conversational English is required, and a second language is a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, respond to inquiries, and write instructions and present information is necessary. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations and decipher various reports is required. Moderate physical ability, including lifting at least fifty (50) pounds, is necessary.

Reliable, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.
