About the role
The Turnaround Manager will lead the planning and execution of plant turnarounds at the Fort Dodge site. This role involves leading cross-functional teams, developing detailed schedules, managing resources, and driving continuous improvement in turnaround processes.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the safe, timely, and profitable delivery of Turnarounds and Outages at the Fort Dodge site.
- Shares accountability for establishing the Turnaround charter’s vision and ensures efficient preparation and execution of Turnarounds and Planned and Unplanned Events.
- Ensures the site is leveraging the best technology, systems/solutions, and workflows that are consistent with KAES processes to most efficiently execute the TA/Outage.
- Responsible for utilizing established tools and metrics that allow the organization to identify and mitigate event risks proactively.
- Partner with the Turnaround capability leaders and key stakeholders to meet the milestones for each TA and Outage phases. This includes collaborating in and facilitating the work scope collection process, planning and scheduling, operations plans, event forecasting, etc.
- Travel up to 25% of the time, supporting other sites in the execution of turnarounds, as needed.
Requirements
- Experience in industrial plant settings
- 2+ years of experience in asset reliability, maintenance, construction management, or project management in a manufacturing facility
- Previous major turnaround experience
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in hot, cold and inclement climate conditions, wear all PPE per site safety procedures, work extended shifts, days, nights and/or weekends as necessary, and be able to work in congested areas, climb stairs and ladders as necessary
Qualifications
- Experience working with Planning Systems (i.e. Maximo, Primavera P6, etc.)
- Previous leadership experience
- Experience managing capital projects
