Turkish Bilingual Interpreter

Essential Functions/major duties & responsibilities

Provides meaning-for-meaning interpreting. Follows CyraCom's interpreter protocols as per CyraCom training, policies, and procedures. Follows all CyraCom policies and procedures related to information confidentiality and interpreter ethics. Attends all required training for interpreters, such as training by the CyraCom Quality and Development Department. Continuously improves vocabulary and specialized subject matter knowledge, as required for various clients, such as medical, legal, social services, etc. Maintains confidentiality as per CyraCom Interpreter policies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional interpreting experience
• Interpreter certification or Interpretation training courses
• Authorized to work in the US
• High school completion or equivalent
• Proficient in English and target language, as determined by our Language Checkup assessment
• Remote Position - must reside in the US

Required Skills and Certifications

• Proficient in English and Cantonese
• 3 years experience or certification
• High School completion or equivalent

Computer System Requirements

• PC-Based Attendees: Windows® 8, 7, Vista, XP or 2003 Server
• Mac-Based Attendees: Mac OS® X 10.6 or newer
• High-speed internet connection
• Equipment like Camera, Microphone, Noise Cancelling Headset, Whiteboard and dry-erase marker (No pen and paper are allowed to take notes during the interpretation session)

• Confirm which you would like to use to make and receive calls: Landline (Include phone number), VOIP (Include phone number), Downloadable program (Installed during training)
