Turbomachinery Engineer

About the role

The Turbomachinery Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing turbomachinery systems. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for complex aerospace challenges.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze turbomachinery systems using advanced computational fluid dynamics tools
• Conduct experimental tests to validate design models and optimize performance
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and other specialists to integrate turbomachinery components into larger systems
• Write technical reports and present findings at internal meetings and industry conferences

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in turbomachinery design and analysis
• Experience with ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or similar CFD software
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, or similar programming languages
• Experience with turbomachinery testing facilities and equipment

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
