EthosEnergy is growing, and we’re looking for a first shift Turbine Technician to join our Engine Repair Operations (ERO) team within our Light Turbines business unit in Houston, TX. In this hands-on role, you’ll support our production team while working with advanced turbine technology and experienced industry professionals. Reporting directly to the Turbine Supervisor, you’ll play an important part in delivering high-quality repair and service solutions to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Disassemble, clean, inspect, and assemble gas turbine generators and related equipment, including calculating required dimensions and clearances.
- Perform repairs and overhauls in line with production supervisor, project management, and customer requirements.
- Complete all component repair and overhaul records thoroughly and on time.
- Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, repair schemes, service bulletins, and other relevant technical documentation.
- Use appropriate measuring equipment, including micrometers, to perform required calculations.
- Comply with EthosEnergy and customer quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) systems, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements.
- Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses, and hazards to the HSE Department and complete required paperwork within 24 hours.
- Help foster a team culture that supports a safe workplace, a healthy working environment, sustainability, and the responsibility to intervene when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Understanding basic engineering principles (a plus).
- Certificate from technical school (a plus).
- Further educational qualification in a mechanical/engineering discipline (a plus).
- High school diploma.
- Capability to lift 35 lbs.
- Ability to squat and stand for long periods of time.
