Turbine Engine Engineer

Avion Solutions Inc., a 100% employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Turbine Engine Engineer to support Maneuver Air Directorate. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for engine systems and subsystems relating to helicopters, unmanned air vehicles, and fixed-wing platforms.
• Provide written recommendations regarding field inquiries concerning serviceability of engine systems and subsystems and interpretation of airworthiness requirements.
• Review test plans, test reports, and analyses concerning compliance with specification and/or qualification requirements.
• Provide recommendations on the requirements coverage, success criteria, and acceptability of the test plans and reports, risks or potential risks of the test plan and report, and corrective actions or improvements to the test plan and report.
• Provide support for Test witnessing, test readiness review, evaluation of test results, and/or post‐test inspections and recommendations regarding requirements coverage of tests and post‐test hardware condition and performance.
• Review changes in designs and engineering change proposals and document airworthiness concerns.
• Review technical changes to manuals and maintenance procedures.
• Participate in program and design reviews and technical meetings.
• Support failure investigations and procedure validations/verifications.
• Provide technical and project engineering support for engine-related improvements developed under the Component Improvement Program.
• Provide support for Deficiency Reporting requirements, including disposition of exhibits and review of investigation findings and recommendations.
