Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Tube Filling Line Operator to support daily production operations and ensure the production of safe, high-quality products. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining tube-filling equipment, following production work orders, supporting line efficiency, and maintaining compliance with food safety and GMP standards.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor tube filling machinery and supporting equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Follow Production Work Orders and ensure all required components and materials are available for the line.
  • Maintain line performance and labor efficiencies according to established production standards.
  • Issue components and accurately report production data.
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, and occupational safety procedures and policies.
  • Report machine malfunctions, breakdowns, or operational concerns to the Manufacturing Supervisor and Maintenance teams.
  • Assist Maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repair activities as needed.
  • Perform line cleaning, startup, shutdown, changeovers, and line clearance procedures.
  • Cross-train and operate additional production equipment as needed during seasonal or operational demands.
  • Support implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Conduct in-line quality checks, including fill weights, package integrity, seal integrity, lot codes, and expiration date verification.
  • Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to packers during production startup, changeovers, and sanitation activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Previous tube filling machine operation experience required.
  • Food manufacturing or packaging experience preferred.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred.
  • ERP/MRP system experience preferred.
  • Prior experience using RF scanners/scan guns for inventory, material tracking, or production reporting preferred.
  • Basic English communication skills required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Education

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Work Environment

Manufacturing and production facility environment. Exposure to food manufacturing equipment, moving machinery, and varying temperatures. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
