Responsibilities
- Governance: Provide strategic guidance, oversight and accountability for the organisation's activities in the U.K.
- Fundraising: Engage in fundraising activities, leveraging personal networks to secure funding for the organisation’s initiatives and programs.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s guiding principles.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor and review the financial performance of the organisation, ensuring all resources are safely handled utilised and accounted for.
- Board Meetings: Attend and actively participate in quarterly board meetings which are held virtually.
Qualifications
- Understanding of global development issues is an advantage.
- Knowledge of U.K. charity governance and regulatory guidelines is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Background in fundraising and resource mobilisation is highly desirable.
