Job Description
U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services provides trustee, agency, escrow, document custody and money market issuing services. The Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) and Global Structured Finance (GSF) groups handle structured finance vehicles that issue debt and equity, using the proceeds to buy collateral like syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, ABS, MBS, CMBS, and Mezzanine debt. Essential functions include reviewing trust indentures, setting up cashflow calculations, collecting collateral data, and preparing reports.
Essential Functions
- Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements.
- Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
- Set up payment calculations in various in-house systems.
- Receive, map, and reconcile periodic collateral data.
- Make tax elections, file for EIN’s, and track residual holder transfers.
- Perform portfolio compliance tests on selected structured fixed income deals (trade testing).
- Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual payment and/or tax reports.
- Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
- Perform quality control reviews of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
- Frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, auditors, and rating agencies.
Location Expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Five to six years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Thorough understanding of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, securitization, trading, or mutual funds.
- Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret data.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications.
