Trust Reporting Analyst

About the role

U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services is one of the largest providers of corporate trust services in the world. Our clients rely on us for trustee, agency, escrow, document custody, and money market issuing services through our 48 domestic offices and three international offices. The Collateralized Debt Obligation (CDO) and Global Structured Finance (GSF) groups within U.S. Bank Global Corporate Trust Services provide services for structured finance vehicles that issue debt and equity liabilities, using proceeds to purchase portfolios of collateral such as syndicated bank loans, corporate bonds, ABS, MBS, CMBS, and mezzanine debt.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret trust indentures with regard to reporting requirements.
• Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
• Set up payment calculations in a variety of in-house systems.
• Receive, map, and reconcile periodic collateral data.
• Make tax elections, file for EINs, and track residual holder transfers as required.
• Perform portfolio compliance tests on structured fixed income deals (trade testing).
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual payment and/or tax reports.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
• Perform quality control review of reports, meeting timeliness and accuracy standards.
• Frequent interaction with asset managers, investors, auditors, and rating agencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Two to three years of relevant work experience.

Skills

• Basic understanding of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, securitization, trading, or mutual funds.
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret data.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision.
• Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship and requires working from a U.S. Bank location three or more days per week.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $71,400.00 - $84,000.00, reflecting figures based on the primary location. The actual range may differ based on the role's location.
