Trust & Estate Transactional Associate
About the role
The Private Client Services Section is seeking a mid-level associate with 5-6 years of trust and estate planning experience to join the firm’s Family Wealth Planning Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have law firm experience with sophisticated estate planning and trust administration; including drafting of comprehensive estate plans (wills, revocable living trusts, and irrevocable trust instruments). Complex estate/gift tax knowledge is preferred. The candidate will work directly with and learn from senior estate planning partners while working in a collegial environment.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with and learn from senior estate planning partners
- Draft comprehensive estate plans (wills, revocable living trusts, and irrevocable trust instruments)
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on estate planning and trust administration matters
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to provide comprehensive client service
Requirements
- 5-6 years of trust and estate planning experience
- CA Bar required
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills
- High level of analytical skills
- Excellent and highly adaptable communication skills

Benefits
Placement within the salary range depends upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, years of experience and the professional skills required for this role. The annual base compensation range for this California position is between $210,000 and $225,000.
