- Cook up with salvage vendors and transportation providers for the timely pickup and movement of damaged units, and assist with downtime or rental reimbursement as applicable
- Recognize recovery opportunities related to subrogation, salvage, and total loss situations, particularly in multi-vehicle commercial incidents
- Ensure compliance with specific state regulations, motor carrier filings, policy provisions, and internal standard operating procedures
- Negotiate and communicate all total loss settlements per company and state guidelines within approved payment authority, with special attention to commercial vehicle specs, equipment add-ons, and lienholder requirements
- Provide input for continuous development of claims guidelines, best practices, and process improvements specific to the trucking and logistics sector
- Engage in learning opportunities to build knowledge of commercial auto claims, fleet risk exposures, regulatory trends, legal precedents impacting transportation claims, and policy updates
