Trucking Coordinator
About the role
The Trucking Coordinator is responsible for directing, coordinating, instructing, and scheduling material handling employees. They also perform the duties of a Material Handler and may be assigned to various job tasks.
Responsibilities
- Directs, coordinates, instructs, and schedules material handling employees.
- Works as an assistant to the Supervisor, relieving their duties and responsibilities.
- Required to work any five days, indoors, outdoors, and in all weather conditions.
Requirements
- Fork Truck experience required.
- Successfully completed Advanced Material Principles testing and review.
- Demonstrates high levels of Customer Service.
- Proven decision-making abilities.
- Commercial Drivers’ License A, with proper endorsements.
- Completed Certified Rigging Course.
- Operates Boom Truck (35 tons), all Tankers, all Trailers, and all Terrain Telescoping Boom Material Handler – without wire ropes (i.e. Lull).
- Holds Massachusetts Hoisting Lic. 2a, 1b.
- One (1) year Material Handling Experience required.
Qualifications
- Capable of lifting 100 lbs.
- Passes Mechanical Aptitude test (knowledge of basic mechanical principles and ability to use job related tools and equipment).
- Able to tip and roll 500 lb. drum 30 feet with control.
- Work at heights of approximately 25 feet.

Working hours are M-F 7:00am - 3:30pm with potential overtime. Emergency response is part of the role, and employees may be called to assist during emergencies outside of regular responsibilities, work hours, and location.
