Truck Unloader
About the role
The Truck Unloader role involves moving route vehicles to the loading dock, unloading soiled linen, moving the vehicle back, hanging bags of soiled linen onto rail/conveyor systems, sorting linens into different bins, and transferring them to other departments or areas of the facility. Additional responsibilities may include assisting sort/count workstations and performing other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Safely move vehicles to loading area, unload, and move vehicle back.
- Sort and transfer product to different areas of facility.
- Hang bags of soiled linen onto rail/conveyor system.
- Absorb and follow direction.
- Assist sort/count workstations as needed.
- Meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
- Follow instructions as directed by supervision.
- Work in other production positions as needed.
- Keep work area clean.
Qualifications
- Comprehend and follow direction.
- Recognize colors, sizes, and different products.
- Meet physical requirements of the job.
- Keep a valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record.

Skills
Physical demands include standing, walking, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, grasping, constantly lifting up to 100 lbs., hearing, seeing, and stooping. Physical requirements include meeting the physical demands for the entire shift. Work is performed in production areas of a typical industrial laundry facility, including variations in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust. Soiled linens come from a variety of customers such as restaurants, hotels, medical facilities, and shops.
