Truck Service Advisor

Walk‑in interviews: weekdays 11 am‑4 pm at our travel center, 13400 Rogers Drive, Rogers, MN.

About the role

As a Truck Service Advisor (TSA), you will provide first‑rate service to customers through your extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide. The TSA is primarily responsible for writing work orders, suggestive selling, and handling over‑the‑counter (OTC) transactions while ensuring that we are returning every traveler to the road better than they came.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where customer expectations are exceeded
• Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide
• Have strong suggestive selling skills to help generate revenue
• Ability to influence in a professional manner while displaying high integrity
• Write, detail, and process (pay out) work orders and OTC transactions; properly write up an ETA work order
• Secure purchase orders, prepare and communicate quotes to customers
• Source parts from outside vendors and coordinate delivery
• Prepare end‑of‑shift drop and shift report; understand various payment types
• Maintain the safety of both customers and team members

Requirements

• Dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of the team
• High school diploma or GED
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Previous cashier and customer service experience; experience in a repair or parts shop preferred
• Strong suggestive selling skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays in interior and exterior conditions
• Valid driver’s license
• Physical demands: regularly talk and hear; occasional standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending, crouching, crawling, climbing, repetitive leg use; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; required vision abilities: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment
• Work environment: exposure to outdoor elements, fumes, particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noise; exposure to dirt, dust, grime, grease, oil, gas, high‑concentrated cleaning solutions
