Truck Scale Administrator

Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor truck scale systems to accurately weigh inbound and outbound vehicles
- Record, verify, and process weight tickets and supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal weight regulations
- Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and system records
- Cook up closely with dispatch, warehouse, yard, and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Provide professional and courteous service to truck drivers, vendors, and internal personnel
- Process cash, credit, and billing transactions, as applicable
- Identify and troubleshoot minor system or equipment issues; escalate maintenance needs as required
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the scale house and surrounding area
- Assist with audits, reporting, and inventory reconciliation as needed
- Provide operational support during vessel activities as required
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or scale operations preferred
- Basic knowledge of weight regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scale management systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
