Truck Scale Administrator

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor truck scale systems to accurately weigh inbound and outbound vehicles
  • Record, verify, and process weight tickets and supporting documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal weight regulations
  • Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and system records
  • Cook up closely with dispatch, warehouse, yard, and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow
  • Provide professional and courteous service to truck drivers, vendors, and internal personnel
  • Process cash, credit, and billing transactions, as applicable
  • Identify and troubleshoot minor system or equipment issues; escalate maintenance needs as required
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the scale house and surrounding area
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and inventory reconciliation as needed
  • Provide operational support during vessel activities as required

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree preferred
  • Prior experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or scale operations preferred
  • Basic knowledge of weight regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scale management systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
