Truck Pick Up and Delivery CDL Driver - Pacific, WA

About the role

Gordon Truck Centers, Inc. (GTC) is seeking a safety-minded CDL driver to join the team at our Pacific, WA Freightliner Northwest location. GTC is an expanded network of 19 dealerships operating as Gordon Truck Centers, Freightliner Northwest, Western Star Northwest, TrailerCraft and Freightliner of Hawaii. As a full-service dealership family, GTC sells, finances, insures and services commercial trucks for medium and heavy-duty applications.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver customer vehicles to and from their place of business within the specified regional area.
• Knowledge of all laws and regulations as they pertain to transporting commercial vehicles.
• Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to communicate customers’ concerns and needs in an honest and professional manner to service advisors.
• Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative; able and willing to work with limited supervision.
• Must have flexibility with schedules as some extended work hours may be required depending on business needs.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a valid CDL driver’s license.
• Valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate or ability to obtain.
• 3 years of commercial over-the-road experience.

• Must be professional and safety-minded at all times.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including listening skills.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
• Able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
• Must adhere to all DOT regulations.

Job Conditions

• Physical Demands: Continuous sitting for periods up to 10 hours in the seat and cab of a tractor (truck) during various weather and driving conditions. Occasional walking, kneeling, squatting, stooping, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling and climbing as necessary.
• Environmental Demands: This position operates in all types of indoor and outdoor work environments, including inclement weather. Noise level is mild to moderate, which are normal for outdoor work.

Pay

$21.00 to $28.00 per hour based upon experience.
