Truck Load Planning Specialist

BASIC PURPOSE

The Truck Builder will ensure the efficient layout and assembly of each Truck Builder load to optimize the number of cases per truck leaving the division and make loading and unloading as efficient as possible.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Use Truck Builder software to layout and assemble each trailer.
  • Analyze the output to ensure that loads are built to maximize both safety and efficiency while loading and unloading product.
  • Maintain equipment and ensure the proper supply of all necessary materials to facilitate successful loading and unloading processes.
  • Order supplies as needed.
  • Respond to all driver concerns regarding loads built with Truck Builder.
  • Adjust loads as necessary to address concerns and maximize efficiency.
  • Aid in loading trailers as needed to meet daily production goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Internal: Selectors, drivers, clerks, managers
  • External: Customers, sales

Work Environment

Work will take place at a desk in an office environment and within normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED/equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in a warehouse preferred.
  • Experience with Truck Builder software preferred.

  • OCCASIONALLY: Stand, Walk, Drive Vehicle
  • FREQUENTLY: Sit, Lift 1-10 lbs (Sedentary), Lift 11-20 lbs (Light), Lift 21-50 lbs (Medium), Lift 51-100 lbs (Heavy), Carry 1-10 lbs (Sedentary), Carry 11-20 lbs (Light), Carry 21-50 lbs (Medium), Carry 51-100 lbs (Heavy)
  • CONTINUOUSLY: Push/Pull, Climb/Balance, Stoop/Squat, Bend, Reach Above Shoulder, Twist, Grasp Objects, Manipulate Objects, Manual Dexterity

Compensation

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds).

The expected base rate for this role is between $20 - $31/hour.

This role may also receive overtime compensation.
