Truck Line Technician 1

Fabrication & Welding

• Cut, shape and weld steel and aluminum components to customize truck frames, bodies and chassis.
• Install specialized equipment, including liftgates, dump kits, service bodies and accessory packages.

Upfittting & Installation

• Read & interpret, technical drawings, electrical schematics and work orders to ensure precise, high-quality fabrication.

Safety & Quality Control

• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Inspect finished work for structural integrity.
• Troubleshoot fitment issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Welding Proficiency: Experience is a bonus. No certification is required.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints, schematics and work-ready truck specifications.
• Tool Proficiency: Experience with shop tools, including torches, plasma cutters, grinders and presses.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces.
• Experience: Previous experience in truck upfitting, automotive fabrication, heavy equipment mechanics or automotive customization is desired, but not required.
