Truck Equipment Installer

About the role

Knapheide Truck Equipment Center in McHenry, IL is hiring a full-time Installer to assemble, install, and customize various heavy-duty work truck bodies. The position works Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install equipment such as: service bodies, platforms, van packages, hoists, electrical components and circuits, shelving and drawer systems, ladder racks, and other mechanical items
• Read work instructions and installation directions
• Gather materials and properly assemble equipment
• Test performance before delivering units to a final audit

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Basic mechanical aptitude
