Truck Driver Weekends Off CDL A

About the Role

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Mocksville, NC for regional solo routes delivering to NC, SC, KY, TN, GA, Southern VA, FL, and MN. Trucks are 36 months or newer, include 24/7 roadside maintenance, and drivers fuel up at over 800 nationwide maintenance facilities. Freight involves touch freight such as screen doors and hardware.

Pay

• Weekly pay starting at $1,364 or more
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.51 per mile with 1,400 miles per week
• Solo Stops Pay: $15.00 per stop with 30 stops per week
• Per Diem Pay: $50.00 per night with 3–4 nights per week (overnights in Ryder-booked hotels)

Schedule

• Monday – Friday (no weekends)
• Start time: 4:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records and logs
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Note: Some positions may require additional screening, including employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer-specific badging or background requirements.

Equipment

• Route: Regional (day cab, sleeper, or box truck with 26' dry van 53’ trailer)
• Ryder provides training on all equipment needed
