Truck Driver (Transportation) - Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Truck Driver to join our team. There are two day shift positions available: one working Sunday to Thursday from 04:00 to 16:00, and the other working Monday to Friday from 04:00 to 16:00.

Responsibilities

• Operate and safely drive a commercial company vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs
• Transport pallets of goods and packages from place of origin to assigned destination
• Ensure contents are properly secured inside the truck to prevent breakage or damage
• Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients
• Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
• Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery
• Perform inspections of the company vehicle prior to and at the end of the shift
• Notify the Transportation Supervisor/Manager of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
• Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
• Track and report working hours
• Adhere to company rules and regulations
• Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions, making safety a priority
• Comply with DOT regulations

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Valid Commercial driver’s license (CDL “A”) required
• 2+ years proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred
• Self-starter who works well independently
• Clean driving record with no moving violations
• Skilled and confident driver
• Comfortable maneuvering tractor into loading and unloading positions
• Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs at a time
• An innate sense of direction
• Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
• Strong verbal communicator
