About the role
As a Truck Driver you will transport pallets of goods and packages from their place of origin to assigned destinations. This position will be located in Hellertown, PA.
Responsibilities
- Qualified with Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver’s License to operate and safely drive your assigned commercial company vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight over 26,000 lbs.
- Ensure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage or damage
- Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with the clients
- Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
- Stay on predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery
- Perform inspections of your company vehicle prior to and at the end of your shift
- Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean
- Notify Transportation Manager of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
- Track and report working hours
- Adhere to company rules and regulations
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions. Make Safety a priority always.
- Comply with DOT regulations
Requirements
- Valid Commercial driver’s license (CDL “A”) required
- 3 plus years of experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position required
- Clean driving record while operating a personal and /or commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Skilled and confident driver
- Comfortable maneuvering tractor into loading and unloading positions
- Alert, focused and detailed oriented
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. at a time
- An innate sense of direction
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Strong verbal communicator
- High School Diploma or GED is required
Schedule
- Tuesday – Saturday – 4:00 am – 2:00 pm
- Sunday – Thursday – 4:00 am – 2:00 pm
Pay
Hourly base rate - $28.75
