Truck Driver - Shipping/Receiving

About the role

ATI is seeking a Truck Driver – Shipping/Receiving operator for the Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. The position involves driving company trucks to deliver and pick up parts from customers and between ATI facilities, receiving materials for distribution, preparing materials and parts for outside processing, and handling warehouse storage and inventory.

Responsibilities

• Operate company‑owned vehicles (cars, vans, pickup trucks, and heavy‑duty trucks 1 ton, 2½ ton) to make pickups and deliveries of materials, parts, supplies, and other items as necessary.
• Secure loads, obey traffic regulations, and ensure required paperwork is signed and handled properly.
• Drive company trucks to deliver and pick up parts from customers and between ATI facilities.
• Receive materials for distribution and prepare materials and parts for outside processing.
• Deliver and pick up materials to and from production areas, organizing and maintaining warehouse storage and inventory of parts and materials.
• Perform all duties to mark, pack, and ship a wide variety of high‑temperature alloys following established methods and procedures.
• Wrap, strap, protect, and pack ingots for shipment.
• Apply prescribed color or other coding and identification to materials.
• Label containers and complete related tasks to fully prepare orders for shipment.
• Prepare truck bills of lading and sign off on mark/pack steps on mill order travelers for ingots shipped to the Monroe/TSAF facility.
• Unload incoming delivery trucks.
• Weigh incoming material and store it in designated racks, bins, or other storage locations.
• Detect and report damaged or defective items, questionable situations, or unusual conditions to supervision.
• Maintain location, usage, and other records; prepare requisitions and related documents.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Perform other duties as required, follow safety regulations, and keep work areas and equipment clean and orderly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of quality systems, deviation and disposition reporting.
• Knowledge of hazards of contamination in titanium.
• Knowledge of identification procedures.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures for assigned equipment and processes.
• Active Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required and must be maintained.
• Minimum of 12 months related experience.
