Truck Driver (RAL FUJI JR)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for properly securing loads
• Performs daily inspections of truck/trailer
• Reports any mechanical or safety issues with truck/trailer/equipment
• Inspects equipment/machines to be hauled
• Keeps up with log books, ELD’s and complies with Hours of Service and all other DOT requirements for CDL drivers
• Copies the movement of equipment and materials according to visual signals and directions
• Detects, recognizes, and responds to dangerous conditions or situations
• Lifts and carries objects of varying weights
• Signed significant travel may be required

Qualifications

• Skilled in both written and verbal communication
• Completes all Safety and general job training as required by SIC
• Observes SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times

Physical Demands

• Able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds
• Able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces
• Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position
• Able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools
• Able to stand for long periods of time, bend consistently, work in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and work in awkward body positions

Work Environment Conditions

• Working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties
• Frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions
