R.D Offutt Company night shift Truck Drivers transport product from designated farm bins to customers on local routes.
Responsibilities
- Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Operate communication equipment to exchange information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage.
- Collect delivery instructions from the trucking office, verifying instructions and routes.
- Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver product.
- Check trailer conditions after unloading to ensure no damage occurred.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks (adding oil, fuel, radiator fluid; minor repairs).
- Verify all load-related documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions, following crew signals and ensuring proper positioning.
- Secure cargo for transport using covers.
- Load and unload trucks, operating special loading-related equipment and other necessary tools.
- Operate remote control for loading and crank hopper arms open/closed for unloading.
- Obtain receipts/signatures for delivered goods and collect payment when required.
- Climb in/out of trucks and stairs multiple times daily.
- Walk on uneven ground at farm locations.
- Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies/procedures.
- Maintain a professional image in the presence of customers and community.
- Participate in company-sponsored training to develop skills and knowledge.
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with peers, management, and support resources.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Valid Class A driver’s license.
- Current DOT physical card.
- Maintain daily timekeeping logs, potato load logs, pre- and post-trip inspections, and scale weight tickets.
- Valid work authorization in the U.S. without company sponsorship.

Pay
$23 - $27 per hour
