Pay
- $950-$1200 per week
- Solo Miles Pay: $0.37 per mile
- Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per stop
- Paid training
Schedule
- Monday – Friday (no weekends)
- Start time: 6:00 AM - 7:00 AM
- 40+ hours per week
About the Role
- Deliver solo within an 80-mile radius of Batavia, NY
- Home daily
- Route: Local
- Truck type: Box truck (16', 22' & 26')
- Equipment: Pallet jack, lift gate, and hand truck (Ryder provides training on all equipment)
- Freight: Touch – auto parts
- Operate well-maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Verifiable driving experience in like equipment (if applying for a straight or box truck position):
- 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Note: This position does not require the operation of CDL-regulated equipment. However, candidates who possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License will be subject to FMCSA requirements, including a pre-employment Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse query.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive a vehicle within compliance of safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading freight if required by the customer
- Other tasks as assigned
