About the role

Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver in Grimes, IA. The position offers weekly pay, paid training, and a Monday‑Friday schedule with no weekends. Drivers operate well‑maintained, safe trucks (36 months or newer) with 24/7 roadside maintenance and fueling at over 800 nationwide locations. Freight consists of touch‑auto parts using a straight truck (16‑26') equipped with a pallet jack and liftgate.

Pay

$975 per week.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, no weekends; start time 6:00 AM; 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive the vehicle while complying with safety regulations, continuous training and customer service
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
• Maintain accurate records
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Verifiable driving experience in like equipment (straight truck/box truck): 6 months in the past 3 years, OR 2 years within the last 5 years, OR 5 years within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check (including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years)
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Hold a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
