Truck Driver/Mover

Duties And Responsibilities

• Inspire and deliver world-class customer service.
• Operate trucks/oversized vehicles with a capacity of 3 tons or more.
• Handle and deliver cargo, materials, furniture, or artwork in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain/logs record of materials and products transported.
• Create accurate and detailed condition reports.
• Catalog inventories and process design furniture using an iPad.
• Work on-site and in the warehouse.
• Load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials using proper handling procedures.
• Communicate with base supervisor for instructions or dispatches.
• Pre-trip and post-trip inspection and reporting maintenance matters to management.
• Record and maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
• Comply with City, State, and Federal traffic regulations.
• Ensure customer signatures and complete documentation as per company standards.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of fine furniture handling and moving experience.
• Valid and clean driver’s license, 1-2 years of professional experience driving a 16' – 24' box truck and maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements.
• Knowledge of city's commercial trucking routes.
• Experience loading and unloading merchandise from trucks.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organization skills.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Punctuality.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, climb, and pull.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical labor on a regular basis.
