Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
  • English language proficiency as required by federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
  • Must work the required schedule and at the specified location
  • Complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must frequently move, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
  • Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area

This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety-sensitive by the company. Associates must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner, accepting responsibility for their own safety and the safety of others.
