Truck Driver - Class A CDL (Hazmat & Tanker Endorsements Required)

About the role

Our Truck Drivers are reliable and dependable and represent Helena in a courteous and professional manner while out on the road and at the home office. Drivers use tact and diplomacy when working with customers, other employees, and leaders. You are home daily and benefits start on your first day.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trailers using a forklift or hand truck.
• Transport loads over required routes to proper destinations.
• Obtain shipping bills and necessary signatures; return completed paperwork to the shipping office.
• Remove empty skids from trailer and carry them to designated piling area.
• Perform daily vehicle checks (oil, water, gasoline, tire air pressure).
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Follow all company policies and procedures; maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English; Spanish communication skills are valuable.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to meet all company requirements to drive a Helena vehicle.
• Successful completion of a drug test and background check.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Safety is Helena’s highest priority. The work environment is a warehouse/outdoor setting with moderate to loud noise levels and occasional very loud noise. You will work outdoors in all weather conditions and may be exposed to moving equipment, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, biological hazards, vibrations, and electrical risks.

• Stand, sit, walk, or drive for 8+ hours daily.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs or more.
• Reach overhead (up to 25 lbs), bend, stoop, climb, grip, grasp, and twist hands and wrists.
• Work below knee level and above shoulder level for short periods.

Pay

$22–29 per hour.
